About Kris

Kris Andersen brings 25 years of experience helping high-functioning individuals gain clarity, overcome internal obstacles, and step into their highest potential. Based in Austin, with roots in New Orleans and years spent in San Francisco, she offers a grounded, insightful, and results-oriented approach to therapy.
Throughout her career, Kris has worked in diverse settings, including the Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse, the Institute of Aging (supporting elderly individuals with Alzheimer’s and dementia), addiction recovery, scholastic testing with children in local schools, and psychological evaluations for Social Security Disability. This broad experience has sharpened her ability to quickly recognize complex patterns and help clients move forward with clarity, precision, and confidence.
Her primary approach is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, which focuses on identifying and shifting the thought patterns that quietly drive stress, self-doubt, and dissatisfaction—even in otherwise successful lives. She integrates mindfulness and a strong emphasis on personal integrity, working collaboratively with each client to help them connect with and follow their own inner wisdom.
Kris works best with individuals who are already functioning well in their lives but know they are capable of more. Her clients are often thoughtful, motivated, and ready to stop overthinking, break unhelpful patterns, and make clear, intentional changes.
She offers a space that is both supportive and direct—where you will feel deeply heard, while also being challenged to grow. Her goal is not just insight, but meaningful, lasting change.
If you are ready to become the strongest, most aligned version of yourself, Kris welcomes you to reach out.
